Adelphia Recovery Trust v. Bank of America, et al.
In this large matter related to the bankruptcy of Adelphia Communications, the plaintiffs alleged that the co-borrowing loan agreements that the defendant banks had entered into with Adelphia and other related entities had enabled the Rigas family, owners of Adelphia, to divert loan proceeds – for which Adelphia was liable – for the family's personal use, ultimately causing Adelphia's bankruptcy. Working on behalf of the defendants, an Analysis Group team led by Managing Principal Lau Christensen supported multiple experts in the areas of valuation and solvency, accounting, telecommunications, banking, corporate governance, and damages. The Analysis Group team also included affiliate Elizabeth Eccher; Managing Principals Maureen Chakraborty, Nicholas Crew, and Richard Starfield; Senior Advisors James Rosberg and David Sosa; and Vice President Steven Saeger.
