Analysis of Investment Performance

Analysis Group and academic affiliate Professor Timothy Riddiough were retained by FINRA in an arbitration proceeding involving alleged improper marketing and unsuitability of non-public Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs). Our work, which was led by Managing Principals Jeff Malinak and Michael Cliff, included analysis of the actual and expected performance of investments in non-traded REITs, benchmarking of non-traded REIT returns against other types of investments, and development of a theoretical financial model for a non-traded REIT. Following the filing of expert reports, the case settled on favorable terms, according to FINRA counsel.
