Analyzing Safety Preparedness in High-Risk Work Environments

Analysis Group consultants supported two specialists, one an expert in organizational behavior and the other an expert in organizational design, in related matters involving alleged liability for an industrial accident in the oil and gas industry. The organizational design expert was retained by counsel on behalf of the defendant to opine on the design, planning, and execution of an organization redesign that the client had implemented shortly before the accident occurred. The organizational behavior expert, who had studied high-risk work environments, was asked to assess safety-preparedness issues associated with liability claims. Both experts filed reports and provided deposition testimony.
