False Superiority Claims in Personal Hygiene Products Case
This case involved lawsuits by two major consumer products companies against one another for making allegedly false superiority claims regarding particular lines of personal hygiene products. Analysis Group was retained by Manatt Phelps on behalf of the defendant to evaluate the extent to which the claims at issue, and the companies' advertising in particular, affected each party's sales and profits. Managing Principal Christopher Borek managed the Analysis Group team, while affiliate Laura Stamm was the damages expert in the case. Our affiliate, MIT Sloan Professor Arnold Barnett, conducted statistical analysis related to the superiority claims alleged in the lawsuit.
