Fantasy Cookie Corporation, et al. v. Harold Rothman, et al.

Analysis Group was retained on behalf of Fantasy Cookie Corporation, the plaintiff in a damages dispute. Fantasy Cookie, a bakery producing and marketing cookies and other baked goods, alleged that defendant Bar Bakers, its business partner, wrongfully failed to share profits, pay commissions, or provide any other compensation for Fantasy Cookie’s work in procuring a large contract on Bar Bakers’ behalf.

An Analysis Group team supported Managing Principal Jeffrey Kinrich, who testified on the operating profit of the procured contract, the value of Bar Bakers, and the sales commissions owed to Fantasy Cookie. Mr. Kinrich’s testimony was based, in part, on an analysis of Bar Bakers’ general ledgers, trial balance, and other financial schedules.

A jury in Los Angeles County Superior Court ruled in favor of Fantasy Cookie, awarding damages of approximately $10.8 million.
