In re: Alibaba Group Holding Limited Securities Litigation
Analysis Group was retained by Simpson Thacher, counsel to Alibaba Group Holding Limited (Alibaba) and certain of its officers, defendants in a securities class action suit. The plaintiffs, representing a putative class of investors, alleged that Alibaba made false and misleading statements in filings with the US Securities and Exchange Commission related to its $25 billion IPO. These allegations covered the business and governance of Alibaba’s e-commerce platforms, its IPO due diligence process, and certain stock sales in connection with the IPO.
An Analysis Group team led by Managing Principal Bruce F. Deal that included Principal Xinyu Ji supported several testifying experts, who opined on various issues related to the plaintiffs’ allegations. The matter was settled.
