In re: FedEx Ground Package System, Inc. Employment Practices Litigation

FedEx Ground delivery drivers claimed they were misclassified as independent contractors rather than employees. An Analysis Group case team led by Senior Advisor Bruce Strombom supported our affiliated experts Richard Smith and Francine LaFontaine in evaluating the plaintiffs' claims. The analyses included assessing the functions performed by FedEx Ground drivers, including the scheduling and routing of package pick-up and delivery; the economic relationships between FedEx, the drivers, and customers of FedEx; and the values of routes sold to third parties by the drivers.
