Sanjiv Goel MD, Inc. v. Blue Shield of California
In this dispute over out-of-network fees related to cardiology services, Analysis Group Managing Principal Bruce Deal provided deposition and trial testimony on behalf of Blue Shield on the reasonable value of the services provided. The judge returned a verdict highly favorable to Blue Shield, including the findings that the plaintiff's charges were excessive and set arbitrarily, and that the reasonable value of the services rendered was within the range presented by Mr. Deal. In its opinion, the court noted it “found Bruce Deal to be credible.”
