Managing Principal, MontrealI reviewed and analyzed some of the proposed damages estimation methodologies and highlighted flaws, such as methodological issues, unsupported assumptions, and factors that had not been taken into account. It was challenging to explain the technical portions of the work in intuitive terms and to convey why and how these flaws affected damages estimates. I worked closely with counsel on that, including in preparation for some of the opposing experts’ depositions. I flew to San Francisco – the first deposition I’ve attended – and was excited to see counsel make some of the technical points we had discussed so often in previous weeks.
