Lauren

Vice President, Denver

How has the firm changed since you started in 2009?
The firm has more than doubled since I started. With that growth comes additional processes and administrative necessities, but the case work itself hasn’t really changed that much. I still get to collaborate with intelligent experts, clients, and colleagues who appreciate high-quality work, which I think is a testament to our strong culture and flat hierarchy.
What is it like working in your AG office? How does it compare with other AG offices you have worked in?
I had worked in the Boston office for almost 10 years when I moved to Denver in 2018. At the time, I moved from the largest office to one of the smallest offices. I have appreciated Denver’s close-knit community – it’s really nice to know everyone in your office! We have fun events and genuinely enjoy each other’s company both inside and outside of the office. Like me, many of my colleagues chose to live and work in Denver to raise their families, and I love seeing all the children at our events.
What do you do when you’re not working?
Spend as much time as I can with my husband and my two daughters, who are 10 and 12 years old. Growing up, my family couldn’t afford to take vacations or travel, so I enjoy traveling as much as I can with my family. We love good food and art museums! I also love to read, watch Celtics games, and can’t seem to shake my addiction to Bravo reality shows.
What has kept you at AG throughout the years?
I have consistently enjoyed collaborating with my colleagues and making friendships along the way.
Describe one of your favorite memories with your colleagues.
In the Denver office, we have had some memorable trips to Steamboat, Aspen, and Colorado Springs! My favorite memory is singing karaoke in Aspen for the office’s 20th anniversary celebration.
How has AG supported you throughout your career?
I have developed strong relationships with mentors who have guided me throughout my career. There have been times when I wasn’t sure if economic consulting was the right career for me, or if I would be able to balance having a young family and continuing my career. My mentors were instrumental in providing honest answers and advice that helped me during those tough times.
What makes AG special?
We work with attorneys and clients on some really interesting projects! On any given day, I get to think about difficult questions and I also have the opportunity to brainstorm with our experts, who are some of the smartest people in their respective fields.
