He/Him/His
Manager, San Francisco
- Why did you choose AG?
- After my M.B.A., I received offers from three consulting firms. I decided to join AG because of the people and culture: When I spoke with AG employees at different levels, it became clear that they genuinely care about the professional development of their colleagues, regardless of their position.
- What do you work on at AG?
- I work on a wide variety of cases, ranging from payer value proposition and launch pricing to economic modeling and survey cases, for pharmaceutical and biotech clients.
- What do you think of the case team dynamic?
- It depends on the case type. On a quick-turnaround case, senior members on the team are more hands-on in terms of concept development and project execution. On a long-term case, senior members on the team are less hands-on, and junior members have opportunities to work on concept development in addition to execution. Regardless of the case type, junior members are encouraged to share their ideas on methodology and project execution.
- Have you had any surprises or breakthroughs since joining AG?
- In my previous job, I worked on one project at a time. At Analysis Group, I typically work on a number of projects at the same time. While it took some time for me to adjust to this new staffing model, I have gotten good at working on multiple cases at once. Earmarking three-to-four-hour project-specific blocks wherein I concentrate only on a single project helped me find balance.
- What is it like to work in your office? What is the culture there?
- The San Francisco office has some of the best views of the city – from the Golden Gate Bridge, to bay bridges, to Alcatraz Island, to Coit Tower. The culture is non-hierarchical, and senior staff members are very accessible. Since joining AG, I have formed strong relationships with my colleagues and have had new experiences. As part of the annual San Francisco-Menlo Park office ski trip, I skied for the first time in my life.
- What do you do when you’re not working?
- I love to run when I am not working – I finished three half-marathons in the last 18 months.
