- Why did you choose Analysis Group?
- I chose AG because it offered an opportunity to work in a variety of methodological areas of interest based on my academic background. My Ph.D. was multidisciplinary, spanning the fields of epidemiology and health economics. The health economics and outcomes research (HEOR) work at AG covers all aspects of both fields, which allows me to continue contributing and developing my expertise. AG also demonstrated an evident appreciation of graduate education that I didn’t perceive in other firms.
- What do you enjoy most about your work? What do you find most challenging?
- I really enjoy the collaborative, team-based environment at AG, as well as the variety of HEOR work opportunities. Everyone I work with is very supportive, and the expertise across teams is incredible. The most challenging thing is juggling multiple projects in different disease areas that may be new to me, and using multiple study designs all at the same time. This is also the most interesting part of the work, because no two projects are ever the same.
- How does life at AG compare to grad school?
- Life at AG is much faster paced. There is more variation in the research work, and more collaboration with colleagues. A wide range of expertise is available, and there’s always someone to reach out to for support.
- What surprises or new experiences have you had since joining AG?
- Working at AG has made me push my boundaries and go outside my comfort zone more than I expected. However, the case teams have been very collaborative as well as hard-working. I’ve been exposed to types of health research conducted in the private sector, and have had several opportunities to engage in client-facing activities.
- What is it like to work in your office? What is the culture there?
- The culture in the London office is very friendly and casual. It’s a small office, so we all get to know each other quite well. The small office environment offers a sense of community, which is really nice.
- What do you do when you’re not working?
- When I’m not working, I like to stay active with Pilates, yoga, and cycling. I also love just spending time with friends and traveling around Europe. London is such a great location for quick weekend trips to Spain or France. I also enjoy experimenting with new recipes at home.
