Summary of Experience
Mr. Grice is an expert in risk management and compliance with more than 30 years of experience consulting to financial institutions on regulatory and risk management matters. Mr. Grice advises clients, including major mortgage lenders, US and international investment and commercial banks, and hedge funds on compliance, credit, legal, operational, and reputational risk issues. His consulting work has included design and testing of compliance and risk management programs, performance of risk assessments, analysis of transactions, design of due diligence systems, and analysis related to government investigations. He has also advised foreign governments on banking issues, including securitization and fraud prevention. Mr. Grice has provided expert testimony on regulatory compliance and banking matters in multiple state and federal courts, addressing issues related to fraud, money laundering, fair lending, third-party lending relationships, mortgage lending, and residential mortgage-backed securities (RMBS). He has also testified before several US government agencies, including the US Senate Banking Committee, the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), the Office of Thrift Supervision (OTS), the Federal Reserve Board of Governors, and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). Mr. Grice has taught seminars on risk management and compliance and has provided training to thousands of banking professionals, including US government officials.
