Dr. Rotenstein is a health care researcher and primary care physician whose work is focused on care delivery innovation, the physician experience, and gender issues in medicine. At Brigham and Women’s Hospital, she has led initiatives to promote physicians’ well-being and job feasibility, as well as care delivery efforts to promote population health and frontline innovation, including the integration of novel technologies into clinical workflows. Dr. Rotenstein has received national recognition for her expertise in physician and trainee mental health, the impact of electronic health records, and gender issues in medicine, and has published on these topics in JAMA, JAMA Internal Medicine, JAMA Network Open, the Journal of General Internal Medicine, The New England Journal of Medicine, and Harvard Business Review. Her work on telehealth – the value of new digital technologies to patients and providers – and innovation that enhances care for vulnerable populations has been featured in The New England Journal of Medicine and Harvard Business Review. Dr. Rotenstein has been named a Spotlight Health Scholar by The Aspen Institute and a “40 Under 40 Healthcare Innovator” by MedTech Boston.
