Summary of Experience
Ms. Mate applies her experience in quantitative analysis and consumer behavior in support of academic and industry experts in a range of complex litigations and class actions across multiple industries, including technology and digital platforms, music and entertainment, and financial services. Her case work has involved assessment of competitive dynamics between digital platform services, application of consumer behavior frameworks for assessing false advertising claims, estimating damages from the theft of trade secrets, and evaluating reasonable royalties for the use of copyrighted musical compositions. More broadly, she has managed projects in matters involving intellectual property, contract negotiation, branding and marketing, finance, and antitrust. Ms. Mate has provided assistance to attorneys in all phases of litigation, including case strategy, discovery, estimation of damages, expert reports and testimony, and trial preparation.
