Summary of Experience
Dr. Cornwall is an economist specializing in the application and interpretation of state-of-the art models, including machine learning and Bayesian models, with deep experience managing software projects. In litigation, he has applied hierarchical Bayesian and mixed logit models to the analysis of survey data in the context of class certification and class damages. Dr. Cornwall also has extensive experience with text analysis in a litigation context, particularly the application of joint sentiment-topic models to consumer reviews. In addition, he has applied machine learning models in health economics and outcomes research (HEOR) to electronic medical record data in the context of pulmonary arterial hypertension, major depressive disorder with suicidal ideation, and various dermatological conditions. Dr. Cornwall has also led the development of several HEOR web applications that have improved reliability and cost effectiveness of patient treatment and care.
