Summary of Experience

Dr. Gumen specializes in the application of economic and market research methods to litigation matters. She has extensive experience designing, administering, and analyzing consumer surveys in the context of brand defamation, patent litigation, trademark infringement, and false advertising. She has supported expert witnesses in the preparation of reports and other testimony in antitrust, intellectual property (IP), and false advertising matters. Dr. Gumen has also provided economic analyses and supported expert witnesses in matters involving market foreclosure, patent infringement, and allegations of improper promotion in the health care industry. She has extensive experience with a variety of sophisticated economic modeling tools, as well as claims and other industry databases. Dr. Gumen’s experience includes examining class-wide economic injury in class-certification matters, as well as evaluating damages from alleged anticompetitive behavior in antitrust matters. She has also evaluated claims of irreparable economic injury relevant to obtaining an injunction in patent infringement and trade secrets misappropriation matters. Dr. Gumen has assisted clients in all stages of the litigation process, including discovery, expert reports, deposition testimony, and trial preparation.
