Summary of Experience
Mr. Berberian specializes in economic and valuation analysis in complex litigation matters, including securities litigation, health care litigation, and international arbitration. He has assisted in all phases of the litigation process, including discovery, expert reports, deposition, and trial. Mr. Berberian has supported experts on valuation and damages topics in a variety of industries such as chemicals, pharmaceuticals, real estate, tobacco, and financial products. He has also supported industry and academic experts on a variety of topics related to mortgage-backed securities (MBS) litigation, including due diligence, trustee duties, investor expectations, underwriting, and damages. His health care litigation experience includes several cases involving quantifying damages in the pharmaceutical industry. Mr. Berberian is also involved with international arbitration matters and has published on the use of country risk premiums in discount rates when conducting valuations. Notably, on behalf of the Uruguayan government, he supported an expert on economic damages related to the impact of Uruguayan tobacco regulations. Mr. Berberian also spoke in Armenia at the International Arbitration Workshop and Conference, where he provided insights into damages issues and loss causation.
