Summary of Experience
Mr. Finch is experienced in matters concerning finance and technology, and has performed research and analysis in support of economic testimony in a range of litigation cases. He has experience managing case teams and supporting academic affiliates and industry experts through all phases of complex business litigation, including discovery, class certification, merits, and trial. Mr. Finch’s technology cases have involved hardware, including microprocessors (CPUs, SoCs), modem chips, cell phones, and graphics processing units (GPUs), and high-tech manufacturing systems and practices involving semiconductors, printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs), hard disk drives (HDDs), and aerospace. His finance cases have involved valuation, secondary market trading of private equity, and case work related to the 2008 financial crisis, including residential mortgage-backed securities (RMBS) loss causation and damages assessments. Mr. Finch has also supported experts in antitrust matters in the technology industry, including working on behalf of Qualcomm in an antitrust dispute with Apple, and another matter brought by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). Prior to joining Analysis Group, he spent five years working in the high-end server engineering group at Sun Microsystems on the hardware design of large computers.
