Summary of Experience

Dr. Tian is an economist who specializes in the application of microeconomics to complex disputes and business problems. He has conducted theoretical and empirical analyses of questions arising in intellectual property (IP), antitrust, breach of contract, and finance matters. His work has spanned a number of industries, including technology, health care, industrial manufacturing, finance, and energy. Dr. Tian’s experience in IP matters includes litigations and consulting projects involving patent infringement, patent portfolio licensing, trade secret misappropriation, and false advertising. In his IP analyses, he has evaluated reasonable royalties, lost profits, unjust enrichment, various forms of injunctive relief, and FRAND compliance and determinations. Dr. Tian has assessed damages in breach of contract disputes in industries such as agricultural chemicals, telecommunications, heavy machinery, and professional services. In antitrust matters, Dr. Tian has analyzed economic issues related to technology and media platforms. Prior to joining Analysis Group, Dr. Tian was a consultant based in Washington, DC.
