Inaugural Black@AG Summit Convened by Analysis Group
August 8, 2022
Black@AG is a community of Black employees and allies at Analysis Group focused on fostering an inclusive workplace, promoting awareness of issues surrounding the Black identity, and providing support for the professional development of Black employees. Black@AG held its inaugural summit, a two-day event in Boston that provided an open environment for all employees to share experiences and build community.
The summit included networking, panel discussions, and activities that covered topics related to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I), such as cultivating a sense of belonging, creating healthy boundaries, promoting self-care, and navigating career paths at Analysis Group. Presentations were given by Michelle Silverthorn, Founder and CEO of Inclusion Nation; Minaa B., Founder and Senior Consultant of Minaa B. Consulting; and Dr. Dwayne Banks, an Analysis Group board member, Vice Provost at San Francisco State University, and Founder and CEO of Health and Social Sector Analysis LLC.
Panel discussions were led by Analysis Group CEO and Chairman Martha Samuelson, President Pierre Cremieux, Vice President Laura Acosta, Vice President Anne Catherine Faye, Manager Atang Gilika, and Head of Global DE&I Latania Lafontant. Panelists addressed the progress of DE&I initiatives specific to the Black community, furthering Analysis Group’s DE&I work, and enhancing its culture of belonging.
Ms. Lafontant noted that Black@AG anticipates future summits to be focused on employee engagement, professional and personal development, and DE&I. The firm is grateful to current and former leaders of Black@AG who developed the idea for the summit, as well as the working group who developed content for the summit.
