Managing Principal Dr. Mei Sheng Duh Invited to Speak at Colloquium Seminar Series at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health

Analysis Group Managing Principal and Chief Epidemiologist Mei Sheng Duh has been invited to speak at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health’s Colloquium lecture series. The series, which typically features distinguished professors lecturing on contemporary statistical topics of interest, is hosted by the Biostatistics department.

Dr. Duh will discuss the statistical methods used in Analysis Group’s collaboration with Pfizer and the Veterans Health Administration on a of the COVID-19 vaccine. For the study, which was required by the US Food and Drug Administration as part of the Emergency Use Authorization of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine, the research team analyzed safety data in near-real-time from almost 2 million veterans in the US who were among the first to receive the vaccine. 

Dr. Duh will present “Statistical Methods for FDA-Mandated Vaccine Safety Surveillance: Case Study of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine” on February 22, 2024.
