Summary of Experience

Ms. Cotton specializes in conducting financial and economic analyses in complex finance and securities and commercial litigation matters. Ms. Cotton has supported academic affiliates and industry experts in matters involving a broad range of topics, including private equity and venture capital, corporate debt, bankruptcy, valuation, securities law violations, corporate governance, securities lending, and mortgage-backed securities. Her finance and securities case work has included performing financial statement and credit analysis; evaluating private equity firm restructurings; assessing compliance with fiduciary duties; and analyzing servicing, due diligence, underwriting, and appraisal issues in mortgage-backed securities litigations. Ms. Cotton has managed case teams, designed and performed analyses in support of affirmative and rebuttal expert reports, and assisted experts and clients in preparing for deposition and trial.
