Discrimination & Pay Equity
Our Labor & Employment experts, both internal and from leading academic institutions, work closely with employment litigators to evaluate claims of discrimination on the basis of age, race, gender, religion, and national origin in employment class action and “pattern and practice” litigations. We have participated in a range of analyses related to employment and compensation cases, including:
- Analyses of discriminatory hiring, firing, and promotion practices
- Lost earnings calculations
- Analysis of benefits, including stock options
- Class certification
- Proactive adverse impact studies
- Wage and hour regulation compliance
Many of our cases have involved statistical sampling, in which we have examined large pools of data to determine whether alleged violations have any basis in fact. These techniques have been used both to simplify the analysis of large data sets and to determine class status. Please visit our Data Science & Statistical Modeling page for more information.
