Public Policy & Economic Impact Analysis

Analysis Group’s broad industry experience, combined with our technical expertise, helps our clients shape policy outcomes, and prepare for and adapt to the impact of policy changes. We collaborate with leading outside experts, tailoring our team and methodological approaches to each engagement. Examples of our work include:

Economic Impact Analyses

Economic impact studies are valuable tools we use to measure the effects of proposed, existing, or ceased economic activity that results from policy and other economic changes, and to assess the resulting economic implications. Drawing on our understanding of industry forces and economic theory, we conduct economic impact studies to help identify and measure how changes in regulations, funding flows, technology, and other factors can affect public policy or corporate strategy decisions. Many of our consultants have deep familiarity with the IMPLAN software package, and some hold IMPLAN certification. We have used IMPLAN in numerous previous consulting assignments.

Cost-Benefit Studies

When government agencies propose new regulations (or evaluate existing ones), they are often required to assess both costs and benefits. Analysis Group has worked with government agencies, corporations, and other groups to quantify the anticipated costs and benefits of proposed regulations. As with our other policy work, we frequently collaborate with leading academics and industry participants to develop persuasive, well-informed approaches.
